Acupuncture is very effective for most migraine headache sufferers. In fact, I would say that 75% of the patients I have seen with migraine headaches (for over 10 years now, and counting) improve dramatically within 6-8 treatments.
Granted I have had a few patients who did not respond to acupuncture for migraines, but I can count those people on one hand.
Acupuncture works by helping the body’s natural ability to heal kick into high gear. In the case of migraines, using acupuncture is one way to guide the body back toward peak health and balance.
Some of the reasons we notice imbalances include stress, poor diet, lack of sleep, anger/frustration and a host of other “modern” complaints. All of these can work together to create an imbalance in the body that is causes overwhelming and often debilitating migraine headaches.
If you are interested in conquering migraines without the need to take expensive, toxic and side-effect riddled medications for the rest of your life…
then you owe it to yourself to give acupuncture a try.
And, as a friendly reminder: Make sure you go to a Licensed Acupuncturist for this type of work, not a Chiropractor “certified” in acupuncture. Being certified in acupuncture means nothing really. Licensed Acupuncturists are licensed by the Board of Medical Practice and have 3-4 years of training in acupuncture and Asian Medicine. Those are the people you want to see.
